Dr. Rebecca Provorse grew up in rural northern California and spent her adolescence wandering the hills, vineyards and orchards of Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake counties. Her innate wonder at the natural world became woven into her love of science and medicine.
Dr. Provorse completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon, pre-med in Biology. As part of a mentorship program, she was able to shadow local physicians and observe professional practices. It was during this time she learned of the resonant functional medicine practice called Naturopathy, in whose principles the following can be found:
At the University of Natural Medicine, Dr. Provorse studied both naturopathic and Chinese Medicines. In the former program, she engaged most deeply in botanical medicine and women's health, doing a three-year rotation in that speciality.
Immediately following medical school, Dr. Provorse worked with a women’s healthcare specialist, learning bioidentical hormone replacement therapies. She then studied rhythmic hormone replacement and became the first provider in the state of Oregon to be certified in the Wiley Protocol™. Dr. Provorse served three years as a member of the Women’s Hormone Network (WHN) board of directors and currently sits on their clinical advisory team.
Dr. Provorse maintains active and current licenses with the Oregon Medical Board (OBME), the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine (OBNM), Washington State Department of Health and the California Board of Naturopathic Medicine. She has been licensed and worked in the state of Hawaii as well.
Dr. Provorse is a member of the Oregon Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OANP) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and has enrolled with the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (EndoANP).
As part of her practice, Dr. Provorse stays at the forefront of discovery in the medical field through continuing education and trainings. She is dedicated to advancing her knowledge and skills in the areas of herbal medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology, and application of personalized medicine through the interpretation of genetic polymorphisms.
Dr. Provorse served patients in private practice from 2005-2020; in 2020, she transitioned patient care to a telemedicine format where she continues to offer high-level healthcare and peer-mentoring. As of 2026, she now see patients both online and in-person.
